Birthday Party

This year my Hebrew Birthday and my Secular Birthday are one day apart.

This year the Hebrew Birthday, Chof Kislev, the 20th of Kislev falls out on Shabbos Vayyishev.
Vayishev begins with Yosef, who beloved by his father Yaakov, shares
his famous dreams with his brothers, making them very jealous of him.
The parsha ends after his brothers sell Yosef, into slavery to Egypt. The parsha concludes when Yosef is thrown into jail because he refused to be seduced by Pharoah's wife Popitar.

Yosef  HaTzaddik thrown into prison in Egypt, the story of the physical body, wrongly accused, assigned to 22 years in exile, the Torah story read today.
The Alter Rebbe's release from prison in Russia, the story of the soul's unlimited lofty potential, the Chassidic Rosh Hashana, celebrated on the 20th of Kislev.

Yosef's emprisonment, being thrown into prison, represents my physical body in exile.
Alter Rebbe's freedom, being released from prison, represents my spiritual body, finally granted freedom.

How do I find peace between the two, the body and the soul?  How to live, in body and soul in peace.

Body in exile?
A body challenged from birth to simply function correctly.
Soul in prison?
A soul not allowed to explore or discover without ridicule and disbelief.

Yosef gets released from prison.
Alter Rebbe gets released from prison.
Yosef is second in command under Pharoah.
Alter Rebbe's teachings spread around the world.

Yosef and the Alter Rebbe.
The body and the soul.
In harmony and peace.

FINALLY....................................................................................................................................................
After a long night of Exile.

The Body & The Soul.                                        Find Peace.
